For the first time in about 3 years I’m going to take part in NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month. What’s more I’m going to publish my progress here on this page. I have an idea in my head, but I promise that not a single word has been committed to paper (or pixel). I haven’t even made any notes, I’m just trusting to my memory that when the time comes I’ll be able to remember some of the narrative concepts I have.
The published sections will be raw. Complete with typos, grammatical errors and plot gaps. It’s more an exercise in initial content generation – not editing and fine tuning. Occasionally I will also post some of my notes and thoughts within the text so you can see how my thought process is going.
The original script will be written in Scrivener – which I need to cross check to ensure I can access the document on my iPhone as well as my Mac for those on the hoof updates. As an upshot, different paragraphs may not follow sequentially and I’ll put a horizontal bar between sections so it doesn’t look like I’ve just forgotten a huge section of prose.
The novel is based on life experiences, so there might also be a few photos to corroborate the story – something that will only appear on this page.
While I might write every day, I can’t promise to update this page everyday – we shall see.
So without further ado read on:
